Connect and save the site
- Open Integrations and choose Google Search Console.
- Authorize a Google account that has access to the property.
- In Choose your Search Console site, select the intended Verified site and choose Save site.
A successful Google sign-in does not grant access to every property. If the site is absent, check its access in Search Console. Domain properties and URL-prefix properties can cover different addresses.
Request a reproducible report
Read our selected Search Console property for the last 28 complete days
and the previous 28 days. Show the exact dates, clicks, impressions,
CTR and average position. Identify pages with impressions but few clicks,
and show the returned queries behind three of those pages. The current reporting path reads web-search data with date, query, page, country and device dimensions. Compare the same property, dates and scope in Search Console. The Search Analytics API may return only the top rows; displayed queries need not account for every impression.
Use the rows to choose the next check
Keep the page URL beside its queries. If visibility increased but clicks did not, inspect whether the new queries match the intended reader before rewriting a title. Ask Afield to show representative rows for each proposed query group. The worked query example shows this decision.
The useful output is a dated report with its selected property, metrics and supporting rows. This connection reads performance; it does not change the website or submit pages for indexing. Use a page audit for the chosen URL.
Resolve missing or inconsistent data
| Symptom | Check |
|---|---|
| Site cannot be selected | Authorized account and access to that property. |
| No rows returned | The same period in Search Console, then narrow filters. |
| One page is missing | Exact address, canonical, old redirects and property scope. |
| Totals differ | Date boundaries, dimensions, filters and aggregation. |
If the provider has rows but Afield does not, retain both report settings for troubleshooting. Broaden a filter explicitly rather than presenting a wider report as the original page’s result. A failed read is not zero search demand.
